Slovakia’s best birding sites include Slovenský raj National Park, High Tatras National Park, and Pieniny National Park. The peak season for birdwatching in Slovakia typically spans late April to early June. During this time, the spring migration is in full swing, and many bird species return from their wintering grounds in Africa and southern Europe to breed in Slovakia’s diverse habitats. The combination of returning migrants and resident breeding birds makes this period an excellent time for birdwatching enthusiasts.
