Russian Animals

A limited number of species live in Russia due to the harsh conditions. Despite this, the country is home to a wide variety of biomes. These include tundra, temperate forests, prairies, and the Caucasus Mountains.

The animals that live here are specifically adapted to the extreme weather. For instance, reindeer thrive here as they can survive temperatures as low as −50 °C while also acting as a food source for carnivores like bears, lynxes, and wolverines.
