Birds of Morocco

Over 500 avian species live in Morocco. As the country is part of the Mediterranean Basin, it is part of a long migratory route that several birds travel along.

The Moussier’s Redstart is the national bird of Morocco. Other notable birds include the Northern Bald Ibis, the Barbary Falcon, and the Desert Sparrow.
