Birds of Bangladesh

The nation of Bangladesh displays diverse habitats, including mountains, lakes, evergreen, deciduous, swamp forests, and a coastline bordering the southern part of the country. Naturally, these habitats attract many beautiful birds, including orioles, herons, and bulbuls. Common birds seen in Bangladesh include the Common Myna, the Red-vented Bulbul, and the Rock Pigeon.

Bangladesh’s national bird is the Oriental Magpie-robin, or as it is known locally, the Doyel or Doel.
