Birds of Belarus

Belarus is a landlocked country, with over 40% covered in forests. However, plenty of rivers pass through it, and the nation has around 11,000 lakes. This makes the nation a suitable home to the 350 avian species living there.

The White Stork is the national bird of Belarus, where it is a common sight. It often constructs its nest on the top of tall trees, concrete posts, or roofs of certain houses, with people encouraging them to do so.
