Yellow Birds in Illinois

The yellow birds of Illinois are mainly warblers, tanagers, and orioles. The eastern meadowlark is a medium-sized bird with a bright yellow breast. The American goldfinch is a small yellow and black bird found throughout the state. A yellow bird commonly found in the northern coniferous forests is the evening grosbeak, while the prothonotary warbler is more likely to be spotted in southern Illinois.
