White Animals

While naturally white animals are rare, several species have white fur, plumage, or skin. Most of these animals live in cold, snowy areas, where white coloration acts as effective camouflage. Some animals, like the Arctic hare and the Arctic fox, use their white fur to hide from predators. Others, like the polar bear, deceive potential prey by camouflaging themselves in the surrounding ice.
