One of Brunei’s most famous birding sites is Tasek Merimbun, which is the largest natural lake in the country. Several waterbirds have been spotted here, including the elusive Oriental Darter. Other popular places to go birdwatching include Ulu Temburong National Park, Andulau Forest Reserve, and Sungai Liang Forest Recreation Park. The best time to see these birds would be from December to March when it is cooler or during the breeding season of these birds, which generally takes place between September and April.
